12th african vaccination week : 30 mothers named vaccination ambassadors
Some 30 women from different health districts in Yaounde are being crown role models in the effective vaccination of thier children from 0 to 15 months. This is during an event organised by the Expanded Immunisation Programme, today May 4, 2022 at the Toungou Hotel in Yaounde. The ceremony marks an end to activities commemorating the African Vaccination Week, which took place from April 25 to May 2, 2022. These women are being rewarded with a certificate of encouragement. They are expected to preach the goodness of vaccination wherever they go. This year’s theme of the African Vaccination Week is “Long Life for All”. It highlights the life-saving potential of vaccines for everyone, everywhere.
